Your Private Rental Information

Thank you for booking a rental with us.

 

Rentals:

For select theatres only: Your Private Screening may be bookable online when available. 

The minimum guest count required for your rental/buyout was provided at the time of booking and varies based on theatre, date and film.

Private rentals (Your Private Screening) if available can be booked online from pre-set dates & times. (Check listings to see if they are offered at your theatre.) 

All other inquiries will be for buyout options, minimum number of guests will vary and can range from 20-50+.  Cost varies by theatre, date, showtime, guest count and film.

IMAX: Buyouts of 75 guests or greater and may be limited to documentary educational films only.

 

PLEASE NOTE: If a projectionist is needed for your event, an additional fee will apply.  A projectionist is not provided in the rental cost, and is only offered based on availability.

Events needing additional staffing support are subject to additional costs.

 

CONTENT REQUIREMENTS:  if providing your own content, your content must meet the following requirements:

1. As a commercial projection system, the players at the sites can play DCP content. Any other video format will not work through the server.  DCP content must be provided on a hard drive, we cannot accept a download link.

2. The projection system can also play from an external HDMI source, either DVD/Blu-Ray or directly from a laptop. Re blu-ray/DVD, it needs to be professionally mastered as a computer burned copy will not run in our system. HDMI cable and hardware will need to be provided.

For option 1, the content must be delivered on a hard drive. That hard drive must be formatted from windows or Linux operating systems. Drives from Macs cannot be read by the system.

For option 2, external hardware will need to be brought in which includes all cables.

For both scenarios, content must be received a minimum of one week in advance to test to ensure it plays on our system.

 

All basic movie rentals/buyouts:

Check In:  Please check in at the box office 20 minutes prior to showtime.

• If checking in as a group, one confirmation is needed.
• If checking in separately, please ensure your guests have a copy of the confirmation.
• If you have over the specified guest count when booked, there will be a per person ticket charge.  Please note that bringing additional guests will need to be approved in advance and is not an option for all theatres.

Film Selection:  If you wish to change the film selected for a rental booked online through 'Your Private Screening', please contact the theatre.

Bring Your Own Movie:  If you selected the bring your own movie option, please provide a store bought regular blu-ray* disc; 2 hour is the maximum length. For longer titles, please contact theatre for approval prior to booking.

• *Please note that Disney films on blu-ray or DVD cannot be shown at the theatres for rentals.

 

Concessions: 

• Concessions will be open, so if your party is purchasing concessions, please arrive earlier to give guests extra time.
• NO outside food or drinks is permitted.

Contacting the theatre for questions:  The theatre opens approximately one hour prior to the first showtime of the day.

Cancellation:  a 7-day cancellation policy applies.  To cancel a reservation once booked, please contact the theatre if booked online.  There will be a cancellation fee once the rental is confirmed.  Payment is required in advance of event.
